Peters Font-Viewer

Es war einmal ein Kollege, der hatte das Problem, dass er gerne wissen wollte, welche Schriften auf seinem Rechner installiert sind.
Als Delphi-Programmierer hackt man dann mal eine Viertelstunde etwas in den Rechner, was dann nachher alle Schriften anzeigt. Man konnte sie sogar dann eine Schriftenliste ausdrucken.

Später merkte ich, dass es solche Programme wie Sand am Meer gibt. Es können nicht alle eine Liste ausdrucken, aber ansonsten war mein Programm nichts besonderes.

Als Programmierer stößt man auch häufig auf Probleme, die mit den Fonts zusammenhängen.
Man kriegt einen Font nicht richtig gedreht, ein anderer sieht auf einem Drucker Mist aus, usw.

Daraufhin habe ich mich zu Hause hingesetzt und diesen Font-Viewer zum Großteil neu programmiert.
Jetzt kann man das alles ausprobieren, was ein Font kann, und vergleichbare Programme gibt es nicht wie Sand am Meer.

Peter's Font-Viewer gibt es als 32-Bit und 16-Bit-Version (Alle Dateien gezippt, entpacken z.B. mit PowerArchiver).
Die 16-Bit-Version beherscht einige spezielle Parametereinstellungen nicht, weil es die unter 16-Bit noch nicht gab.
Ansonsten ist Umfang und Funktion identisch.

Hierbei ist auch eine Hilfedatei dabei, die hoffentlich alles erschöpfend erklärt.

Peters Font-Viewer braucht keine DLL's und pfuscht nicht in der Registry herum.
Es wird nur eine Ini-Datei im bei Programmstart aktuellen Verzeichnis angelegt, in der alle Einstellungen gesichert werden. Ihr könnt also ohne Risiko testen.
Zur Installation reicht es, alle Dateien in ein Verzeichnis zu kopieren und zum Deinstallieren reicht es, das Verzeichnis zu löschen.
Ich gebe aber auch weitergehende Installationshilfe, falls das gewünscht wird.
