Early in his career, I suppose type designer Sumner Stone heard a voice in his head saying, "It`s set in stone," and promptly named his first typeface after himself. The Stone family of types is distinguished in that, in addition to roman, italic, and sansserif fonts, there is also an "informal" set in the family.
